LIBRARY PUBLIC WASHROOM ACCESSIBILITY UPGRADE
The Board of the Brokenhead River Regional Library is seeking proposals from qualified bidders for the renovation and upgrade of the public washroom to enlarge, update, and meet accessibility standards as per the Government of Manitoba.
Quotations are to be submitted to the Brokenhead River Regional Library, located at 427 Park Avenue or emailed to Ashley Myers at directoroflibraryservices@brrlibrary.cano later than 4:00pm February 19th 2026.
SCOPE OF WORK:
· Create a larger washroom of 9 feet 4 inches by 7 feet 6 inches
· Remove closet with walls and electrical between existing bathroom and public space to make more room for wheelchair accessible washroom
· Move existing hallway, opening to the south
· Supply and install new 36-inch commercial door with push button openers
· Frame in and patch all drywall with paint
· Supply and install new Tarket flooring (rolled up the wall 6 inches), patch hallway flooring with existing
· Supply and install new grab bars, sink, toilet, mirror, lighting and bathroom fan
· Supply and install new dropped ceiling where required
CONTRACTOR TO SUPPLY:
· All materials
· Necessary permits
NOTE: All contractors must have proof of insurance for minimum $2 million liability insurance and a current copy of their WCB status. All electrical work must be completed by a certified electrician.
